Cabo Itinerary
Alaska Airlines cancelled both the Wednesday, August 20 Seattle (SEA) to Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos (SJD) and Wednesday, September 10 Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos (SJD) to Seattle (SEA) direct flights I had originally used for my itinerary. I adjusted by adding a day at the Solmar Beach Club Resort so I could arrive Tuesday, August 19 and switched to First Class for the return itinerary.

- On Wednesday, June 18, 2025 I added a day to the vacation.
- I now arrive Tuesday, August 19 for a one night at the original Solmar Beach Club Resort before my three week stay at the Playa Grande Resort.
- Alaska Airlines sent me notification of two SEA to SJD direct flight cancellations that affected my itineraries.
- I adjusted by adding a day at the Old Solmar Beach Club Resort prior to the three weeks at Playa Grande.
- The extra day cost $159.70 of which $39.93 was paid and $119.78 is due at the resort.
- The Alaska Airlines schedule changes were at no additional cost but one added an extra stop because even on Tuesday there were no SEA-SJD direct flights.

- On Friday, June 13, 2025 I cancelled the UNXYQH reservation for the return trip and booked a new IJFHDE First Class itinerary.
- Yesterday I had received an eMail about a schedule change that added an extra stop in LAX.
- The suggested new schedule left me with only a 1 hour 41 minute layover to clear customs, go through TSA again, and change planes in Los Angeles, CA (LAX)
- I was not comfortable with that and wanted a longer layover to clear customs and go through TSA again.
- There were no great options so I chose a flight with a San Diego layover over 5 hours long.
- I booked the new First Class itinerary for 35,000 miles which is 17,500 more than the main cabin itinerary I had booked.
- On Tuesday, May 20, 2025 I confirmed a couple of scehdule changes.
- The QDTRHJ change shortened the layover from 1 hour 55 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes which is short but O.K. for on the way to Cabo when there is no customs.
- The UNXYQH to FAI Sep 10 change adds six minutes to the layover changing flights only by a few minutes.
- On Tuesday, March 25, 2025 I booked this Cabo vacation along with several others.
